Al Khayam Catering Equipment Trading LLC, trading as Grease Trap Cleaning Services LLC (GTC) (“we”, “us”, or “our”), operates the website greasetrapcleaning.ae and provides grease trap cleaning, maintenance, supply, installation, and related facility services across all seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates.

This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use and protect it, and the rights available to you under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection (PDPL). By using our website or contacting us through any channel, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

We collect personal information only when it is necessary to provide our services or respond to your enquiry. The categories of information we collect include:

a) Information You Provide Directly

  • Contact form submissions: Full name, phone number, email address, and message content when you submit an enquiry via our website contact form.
  • WhatsApp communications: When you initiate contact through our WhatsApp button, your phone number and any messages you send become part of our communication record.
  • Direct enquiries: Information shared via telephone calls or email to sales@greasetrapcleaning.ae.

b) Information Collected Automatically

When you visit greasetrapcleaning.ae, certain data is collected automatically by our analytics and advertising tools:

  • Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager GTM-5QQCD3T): Pages viewed, time on site, traffic source, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location (city-level). IP addresses are anonymised.

c) Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect payment card details on this website. All financial transactions, where applicable, are handled through separate, secure channels. We do not knowingly collect data from individuals under the age of 18.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the personal information we collect for the following purposes, each of which represents a legitimate business interest or is necessary to fulfil your request:

  • Business transfers: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of business assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction. We will notify you before your data becomes subject to a different privacy policy.
  • Safety: Where we believe disclosure is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company, employees, clients, or the public.

All third-party data processors are required to handle your information securely and only for the purposes we specify.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal data only for as long as is necessary to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected, or as required by UAE law:

  • Enquiry records (contact form, email, WhatsApp): Retained for up to 5 years from the date of last contact, consistent with UAE commercial record-keeping obligations.
  • Service and contract records: Retained for a minimum of 5 years after completion of services, in compliance with UAE Federal Law No. 2 of 2015 on Commercial Companies and VAT record requirements.
  • Analytics data: Retained within Google Analytics for 14 months under our account configuration, after which aggregate reports remain but individual user data is deleted.
  • Server logs: Retained for 30 days for security purposes, then deleted.
  • Marketing / Pixel data: Subject to Meta’s own data retention schedule as outlined in their Data Policy.

When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it securely.

6. Your Rights Under UAE PDPL

Under UAE Federal Decree-Law No. 45 of 2021 on Personal Data Protection, and subject to the conditions set out therein, you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Right to access: You may request confirmation of whether we hold personal data about you and obtain a copy of that data.
  • Right to rectification: You may request correction of any inaccurate or incomplete personal data we hold.
  • Right to erasure: You may request deletion of your personal data where it is no longer necessary for the purpose it was collected, subject to our legal retention obligations.
  • Right to restriction: You may request that we limit our processing of your data in certain circumstances (for example, while you contest the accuracy of the data).
  • Right to data portability: Where technically feasible, you may request a copy of your data in a structured, commonly used format.
  • Right to object: You may object to the processing of your personal data for marketing purposes at any time. We will cease that processing upon receiving your request.
  • Right to withdraw consent: Where processing is based on your consent, you may withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.

We may ask you to confirm your identity before processing the request. There is no charge for submitting a rights request, though we reserve the right to charge a reasonable administrative fee for manifestly unfounded or repetitive requests, as permitted under the PDPL.

If you believe your rights under the PDPL have not been upheld, you may file a complaint with the UAE Data Office at dataoffice.gov.ae.

7. Children’s Privacy

Our website and services are directed exclusively at businesses and business professionals. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 18. If you believe we have inadvertently collected such information, please contact us immediately and we will delete it without delay.

8. Security

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your personal information against unauthorised access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction. These measures include:

  • SSL/TLS encryption for all data transmitted between your browser and our website (HTTPS).
  • Access controls restricting personal data to authorised staff only, on a need-to-know basis.
  • Regular security reviews of our web infrastructure and third-party integrations.
  • LiteSpeed server-level caching and firewall protections.

No method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. While we strive to apply commercially reasonable protections, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
