Why Sharjah Relies on Tanker Sewage Collection

Sharjah combines one of the UAE’s densest urban cores with large industrial districts and a mountainous East Coast, and significant parts of the emirate operate on holding tanks and septic systems rather than the mains network.

The industrial belt — Sharjah Industrial Area, Al Sajaa and the National Industries Park — together with high-occupancy staff accommodation generates constant high-volume demand, while the East Coast towns of Kalba, Khor Fakkan and Dibba Al Hisn need an operator prepared to cover the mountain road.

We collect from all of it and discharge at the Sharjah Municipality tanker facility, sizing our 5,000 to 10,000 gallon tankers to the job — from a compact unit for an Al Qasimia building to a heavy tanker for an Al Sajaa industrial holding tank.

Disposal is the part that matters most for compliance in Sharjah. Every load we collect is discharged at the Sharjah Municipality sewerage tanker-discharge facility, which receives sewage from areas without a foul-sewer network and requires a valid tanker discharge permit for entry. You get proper, traceable disposal — never illegal dumping.

  • Municipality-approved treatment-plant disposal
  • Registered, GPS-route-tracked tankers
  • Septic, holding-tank, soakaway & sump pit pumping

Sewage Water Collection FAQ

Straight answers on frequency, disposal, pricing and coverage.

How often should a septic or sewage holding tank be emptied? +
In Sharjah it depends on occupancy. A residential building holding tank in Al Nahda or Al Qasimia is typically emptied on a regular schedule, industrial-area staff accommodation more often, and East Coast sites are planned around travel. We recommend a frequency after a free survey.
Where is the collected sewage disposed of? +
In Sharjah, collected sewage is discharged at the Sharjah Municipality tanker-discharge facility, which serves areas that have no mains foul-sewer network. A valid sewage tanker discharge permit is required for entry, and access is logged electronically. We operate as a permitted contractor, so your waste is disposed of legally and traceably.
How much does sewage water collection cost in Sharjah? +
In Sharjah, price depends on tank volume, tanker size, access and location — East Coast trips to Kalba or Khor Fakkan factor in distance. Smaller tanks are a fixed fee; industrial volumes and emergencies cost more. Contract schedules are cheaper per visit — ask for an exact quote.
Which Sharjah areas do you cover? +
We cover all of Sharjah — the Industrial Area, Al Sajaa, Muwaileh, University City, Al Nahda, Al Qasimia and Al Taawun — as well as the central region (Al Dhaid, Al Batayeh) and the East Coast towns of Kalba, Khor Fakkan and Dibba Al Hisn. Villas, labour camps and industrial units are all serviced.
Do you offer emergency or same-day sewage removal? +
Yes — we run a 24/7 emergency service for tank overflows, sewage backups and blocked systems. Call our line and we dispatch the nearest available tanker to contain and clear the problem the same day. Emergency response is especially important for occupied buildings, food premises and construction sites where a backup is a health and operational hazard.
What is the difference between a septic tank, a holding tank and a soakaway? +
A septic tank separates solids and partially treats wastewater on site, discharging the liquid to a soakaway; it needs periodic de-sludging. A sewage holding tank simply stores all wastewater with no treatment or outlet, so it must be pumped out regularly by tanker. A soakaway is the underground pit or field that lets treated liquid percolate into the ground — when it clogs or floods, it needs clearing too. We service all three, and can advise which you have if you are unsure.
