Why Abu Dhabi Relies on Tanker Sewage Collection

Abu Dhabi is the UAE’s largest emirate by area, and much of it lies well beyond the mains sewer network. Villas and farms across the mainland, worker cities like Mussafah and Mohammed Bin Zayed City, and the communities of Al Ain and the Western Region all rely on tankered sewage collection.

The industrial concentration at Mussafah, ICAD and KIZAD, together with the emirate’s large staff-accommodation footprint, produces steady high-volume demand, while remote sites across the Al Dhafra region need operators willing to travel — both of which our fleet is built for.

Every collection is discharged only at ADSSC-approved sites using tankers registered by Abu Dhabi Police, in line with Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi requirements, so your waste is handled legally from Abu Dhabi island to the furthest Western Region site.

Disposal is the part that matters most for compliance in Abu Dhabi. Every load we collect is discharged only at ADSSC-approved treatment and dumping sites, using tankers registered by Abu Dhabi Police and operating in line with Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD) requirements. You get proper, traceable disposal — never illegal dumping, which carries heavy penalties.

Sewage Water Collection FAQ

Straight answers on frequency, disposal, pricing and coverage.

How often should a septic or sewage holding tank be emptied? +
In Abu Dhabi it varies with occupancy and distance. A mainland villa or Al Ain farm is usually every 6–12 months, while Mussafah or MBZ worker accommodations often need weekly collection. Remote Western Region sites are scheduled to suit travel time. We assess and recommend a frequency after a free survey.
Where is the collected sewage disposed of? +
In Abu Dhabi, collected sewage must be discharged at ADSSC-approved sites. Only tankers registered by Abu Dhabi Police are permitted to operate within the emirate, and waste-transport activity is regulated by the Environment Agency – Abu Dhabi (EAD). Our tankers and crews meet these requirements, so every load is disposed of legally and traceably.
How much does sewage water collection cost in Abu Dhabi? +
In Abu Dhabi, price reflects tank volume, tanker size, access and how far the site is — Western Region and remote farm sites factor in travel. Villas are a modest fixed fee; large worker-city volumes and emergencies cost more. Scheduled contracts reduce per-visit cost — contact us for an exact quote.
Which Abu Dhabi areas do you cover? +
We cover Abu Dhabi island and the mainland — Mussafah, Mohammed Bin Zayed City, Khalifa City, Baniyas, Al Wathba and the ICAD/KIZAD industrial zones — as well as Al Ain and the Western Region (Al Dhafra) including Madinat Zayed and Al Mirfa. Villas, labour camps and construction sites in remote areas are all serviced.
Do you offer emergency or same-day sewage removal? +
Yes — we run a 24/7 emergency service for tank overflows, sewage backups and blocked systems. Call our line and we dispatch the nearest available tanker to contain and clear the problem the same day. Emergency response is especially important for occupied buildings, food premises and construction sites where a backup is a health and operational hazard.
What is the difference between a septic tank, a holding tank and a soakaway? +
A septic tank separates solids and partially treats wastewater on site, discharging the liquid to a soakaway; it needs periodic de-sludging. A sewage holding tank simply stores all wastewater with no treatment or outlet, so it must be pumped out regularly by tanker. A soakaway is the underground pit or field that lets treated liquid percolate into the ground — when it clogs or floods, it needs clearing too. We service all three, and can advise which you have if you are unsure.
